The classroom assistant works closely with the teacher in the classroom to assist in planning, organizing and implementing age appropriate lessons.
As classroom assistant, this candidate supports the teacher in the classroom in working with students individually, in small groups or as a whole class.
The ideal candidate will be caring, understanding, flexible and fun, with a passion for working with children and have the ability to remain confidential at all times.
This position requires working with school-age children.
The work is performed under the supervision of the principal.
All duties, schedules and responsibilities are assigned by the principal.
Experience working with school age children, preferred Successful completion of background checks for The Diocese of Orlando and DCF Ability to actively engage school age children, including walking, standing, stooping, lifting, carrying, etc.
The classroom assistant agrees to abide by the educational policies and procedures of both the Diocese of Orlando, as well as local school procedures and helps to provide an environment that promotes the ministry of Catholic Education.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
