Responsibilities:
Process payables and receivables.
Digitally stamp and distribute incoming invoices for approval.
Check, verify and process invoices weekly for multiple companies.
Prepare weekly Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Work closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure invoices are properly coded and paid in a timely manner.
Review subcontract documentation compliance for payment release.
Other accounting functions as needed.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma required.
Some accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
Construction administration experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer proficiency with Excel is required.
(Other software utilized includes Sage 300 CRE and Procore) Self-motivated, resourceful Excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail, able to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Responsible team player Ability to prioritize while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles LANGUAGE SKILLS - Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English.
Communication includes both verbal and written skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customer's representatives as well as peers, supervisors and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to perform mathematical operations using calculators or electronic spreadsheets is required.
REASONING ABILITY - Must have above average common sense and the ability to make good/logical decisions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
