2021 Open Box BANJO Gold Tone CC-100RW: Cripple Creek Model - Resonator / Open-Back with Wide Fingerboard. This banjo was purchased brand new 3 months ago directly from the Gold Tone factory in Florida . Gold Tone professionally set it up and tuned it, etc. and gave us a tour of their factory...very cool. My grandfather had a stroke and no longer has the ability to learn how to play the banjo. So this banjo is basically brand new and never played...with the exception of the first day when we took out the banjo to hold it and strum the strings to see how it sounded. Detachable resonator (for open-back AND closed-back playability) = a very versatile banjo! With the resonator on - plays as a Scruggs-style Bluegrass Banjo. With the resonator off - plays as an Old-Time Clawhammer Banjo. It also has a slightly wider fingerboard for anyone who has larger fingers OR someone who prefers more room for fingering the fretboard. It comes with a heavily padded foam gig bag (pictured), a brown banjo strap and clip-on tuner (not pictured). The banjo will be shipped with the resonator off the banjo as it is in the pictures. The resonator looks simple to put back on (4 screws and plates), but we don't want to chance scratching the finish if we slip up LOL. The resonator and screw/plate hardware will, of course, be included and shipped with the banjo, strap, and tuner.
